Yip Ping is a Hong Kong Cantonese film actress who was active from the 1940s through the 1960s. She was married to the famous director Wu Hui. She began her acting career in cinema during the 1940s and appeared in numerous Cantonese films, including notable works such as "人海萬花筒," "危樓春曉," and "雷雨." In the 1970s and 1980s, she joined Hong Kong's Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) and continued acting in television dramas. She participated in prominent TV series such as "家變" in 1977 as Ma Tai-lao, "網中人" as Wu Mu, "千王之王" as Yuet-ga/Atan, "京華春夢" as Jiang Ma, and "上海灘" as Lian Shan's wife. She also appeared in other series including "親情," "萬水千山總是情," "警花出更," and "奔向太陽." She was known for roles that often portrayed motherly figures and mature women in Hong Kong television drama.
