Sin Ying Nung is a Hong Kong Chinese film actress and Cantonese opera performer, a leading actress in all-female opera troupes. She was a disciple of the famous Cantonese opera actress Yang Xiufeng. Her film debut was the silent film "裂痕" (1932) in Guangzhou, and her first sound film was "客途秋恨" (1936). In the 1920s and 1930s, she performed in all-female opera troupes in Guangzhou, appearing at the Anhua Company theatre in Xiguan and performing in famous plays such as "雙娥弄蝶" and "三伯爵". She was renowned for her skill in portraying tragic roles with genuine emotion and delicate expression. She traveled to Shanghai in 1936 for a three-month opera performance. She appeared in approximately eight films throughout her career, with her final film being "江湖第一劍" (1969). She also performed several famous duet songs with prominent singers such as Bai Jurong and Ye Foruo.
