简介

Elke Tan is a Hong Kong freelance model of Fujian descent, born and raised in Hong Kong in 1990. She began her career as an exhibition model, then signed with HKModelhouse in 2010 and became a member of the young model group Donut. She stood out by insisting on a pure, innocent image contrary to the prevailing sexy trend among young models at the time, gaining a large following among teenagers. In 2011, she participated in an anti-drug campaign by the Hong Kong Security Bureau with the slogan "Say no to drugs!", which brought her into public awareness. That same year, she released a photo book titled 《Summer Lover夏之恋人》 as the only Donut member who did not adopt a sexy image, further boosting her popularity. She continued her momentum in 2012 with a second photo book 《Donut 恋恋东京》 and appearances on TV programs in Hong Kong and mainland China, including 《华娱米饭》. In 2013, she participated in a mainland Chinese property opening ceremony alongside veteran actor Wayne Lai, which opened doors for her in the Chinese mainland, and she made her film debut with a cameo in 《超级经理人》. In 2014, she became the senior member of Donut and appeared in the film 《十月初五的月光》 alongside Julian Cheung and Joyce Cheng. As Donut's activities declined in 2015, she transitioned to live streaming via the app "17," quickly amassing thousands of followers, and continued as a freelance model, becoming one of the new generation's favorites.
