Biography
Michele Monique Reis (Li Jia Xin) is a Hong Kong actress of Portuguese-Chinese descent, born in Macau in 1970. She won the Miss Hong Kong Pageant in 1988 and the first Miss Chinese International Pageant in the same year, earning the title "Most Beautiful Miss Hong Kong". Her childhood was difficult after her father left due to an affair, and the family lived in modest rooftop shelters. She began working part-time as a model at age 14 to finance her studies. After winning the pageant, she signed a five-year contract with TVB and appeared in only two TV series: "花月佳期" and "原振侠" with Leon Lai. From 1990, she focused primarily on film, starring in notable works such as "倩女幽魂2之人間道" and "墮落天使" directed by Wong Kar-wai. She retired from acting after marriage in 2009 but returned in 2019 to participate in the variety show "演技派" portraying Yang Guifei, and served as a judge on "全民造星IV" in 2021.
