Biography
Li Jiaqi is a Chinese actress born on August 24, 1995, in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia. She was previously known by her stage name "Lamu Yangzi" (辣目洋子). On September 1, 2022, she announced on her Weibo account that she would no longer use her former stage name and would revert to her real name Li Jiaqi, also changing her Weibo username to "Xiaola Li Jiaqi." Regarding the name change, she stated that her mother advised her that everything is better in its original form and that she followed her mother's advice. She added that if people found her name hard to remember, they could call her by her nickname "Xiaola." She expressed her life philosophy, saying that life is full of sweetness, bitterness, spiciness, and saltiness, and that everyone is the protagonist of their own life, while she is merely a small seasoning on their table. On the same day, screenwriter Wang Hailin stated on Weibo that Li Jiaqi's decision to revert to her real name was in compliance with a directive from China's National Radio and Television Administration, which would no longer permit celebrities to use foreign-sounding names or stage names approximating foreign names.
