STRAYZ is a Hong Kong female music group consisting of five members who were all contestants on the 2021 ViuTV talent show "King Maker IV". The members are Huang Siqi, Zhao Zhan Tong, Lin Wei Qiao, He Zhen Qi, and Zeng Jia Ying. The show received over 4,400 applicants, initially selecting 99 contestants, with the final number being 96. After the show, Zhao Zhan Tong and Huang Siqi took the initiative, along with three other contestants, to announce the formation of the group in April 2022. The group name is derived from the word "Stray", with the five members describing themselves as wandering children, and the letter Z representing Generation Z. In July of the same year, they released their first official single "Stray", and the music video reached one million views on YouTube by August 9. In their first year, STRAYZ participated in major music award ceremonies and won the Bronze Award for Best Newcomer Group at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation. In 2023, the members participated in a music project with legendary singer Leo Ku to re-sing the song "Star War". At the end of 2023, STRAYZ temporarily paused their activities as members pursued individual careers.
