FYP

Biography

FYP (final year project) is a Hong Kong music group of three members, formed in 2025. The group includes Xu Jiawei, Billy Long, and Huo Jin. The members met while studying at university and began creating music and performing together. Later, Xu Jiawei became an independent singer and participated in "全民造星IV", while Billy Long and Huo Jin continued to assist in production and performance. The trio was invited to perform at a record company banquet, which led to their discovery and the formation of the group. In 2025, the three officially joined Universal Music Hong Kong and debuted as FYP, releasing the Japanese rock song "星辰燃燒之時" as their debut work. The group's name is an abbreviation of "final year project" because the members were classmates in the music department at Hong Kong Baptist University, and their early works were selected from their graduation projects.
